Eastchester – “The Eastchester Now team applauds President Biden’s decision to reunite young migrant children with their families. Nothing is more ‘Eastchester’ than putting families first, and we are proud that Westchester County Airport has been able to serve as a safe space to bring kids back to their guardians after being torn apart by the previous administration.
“We thank County Executive George Latimer for his leadership and fact-checking on this issue. He is a national example for local governments working effectively with federal partners in moving this country forward.
“Republicans in Eastchester and across Westchester are yet again spreading lies and misinformation to provoke fear amongst residents and rile up their political base. Their sudden interest in Covid-19 safety can rest easy: individuals are being tested and vaccinated upon arrival, and that their final destinations are not in Westchester.
“Let’s make one point unequivocally clear: those who prioritize making headlines over reuniting children needlessly separated from their families don’t deserve to represent the American people at any level of government.”
